Do you accept non-litigation advisory engagements?
Yes. Dante Tosetti, LLC accepts a limited number of advisory engagements from financial services companies — typically compliance frameworks, risk advisory, policy review, and training. Advisory work is conflicts-checked against active and prior testifying engagements.
Do you take plaintiff or defense work?
Both. Engagement decisions are made case-by-case after a conflicts check.
What is your engagement process?
(1) Initial inquiry from counsel, (2) conflicts check, (3) review of preliminary materials under engagement letter, (4) scope and fee agreement, (5) substantive work begins.
Are you available for deposition and trial testimony?
Yes. Available nationally; based in San Francisco Bay Area.
What is your fee structure?
Hourly, with a retainer. Rates provided upon request after initial conflicts clearance. Fees are never contingent on outcome.
How do you handle conflicts of interest?
A formal conflicts check is run against current and prior engagements before any substantive discussion of a matter. Counsel is asked to provide party names, counsel of record, and a brief subject-matter description.
Can you provide references?
A list of retaining counsel may be provided upon request, subject to their consent.
Do you publish a case list?
A Rule 26 disclosure-compatible list of testifying engagements (last four years) is provided to retaining counsel upon request.
What is your turnaround time for an initial response?
Inquiries from counsel are typically returned within one business day.
Do you co-author reports or rely on staff?
All expert opinions are the work and product of Mr. Tosetti. Administrative and research support is disclosed when used.
